A SERIES of arrests have been made in connection with a shooting in Blackwater. 

The victim, who sustained life-changing injuries, was shot in the torso in Hearsey Gardens on February 10.

A 16-year-old boy who had previously been arrested for conspiracy to murder has been re-arrested and released on suspicion of the same crime. 

A 41-year-old man from Blackwater who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder, has also been re-arrested and released on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. 

Both have been bailed until May 25. 

A 50-year-old woman from Blackwater who was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been re-arrested for the same crime, and released under investigation. 

A 35-year-old woman from Blackwater has been re-arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, but hass been released under investigation. 

A 39-year-old man from Blackwater has been arrested on conspiracy to murder, but has been released under investigation.

Another 16-year-old boy from Blackwater has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, but has been released under investigation.

Detective Inspector Lee Colvin said: “We continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident which left a young man with life-changing injuries.

“We have spoken to a number of people as part of our enquiries but we still want to hear from anyone who has information about what happened and has not yet come forward.

“Any information you have could be vital to the investigation.”
