TWO teenagers from Wokingham and one from Winnersh have been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery and assault of a man in Lower Earley.

At around 7pm on Tuesday, March 27, an 18-year-old man was approached by a group of youths in Chalfont Park, who told im to hand over his tobacco and mobile phone.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his back and legs as he tried to leave the park.

The man's car was also badly damaged in the incident.

Officers from Thames Valley Police have arrested a 15-year-old from Winnersh on suspicion of attempted robbery, a 17-year-old from Wokingham on suspicion of attempted robbery and a 16-year-old youth from Wokingham on suspicion of attempted robbery, common assault, shoplifting, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

All three have been released under investigation.
