BROADCASTER Chris Evans has revealed he and his wife Natasha Shishmanian are expecting twins.

The Ascot residents, who already have two sons together, announced the news during Evans' Radio 2 breakfast show on Monday (16).

The DJ and former Top Gear host, 52, has a 31-year-old daughter Jade from a previous relationship, and sons Noah, eight, and Eli, four, with Natasha, 36.

Speaking during his radio show on Monday morning, Chris joked: "We've known for a while, obviously. She's definitely the mother, there's no doubt about that."

The couple underwent fertility treatment to conceive Eli after Natasha, a former professional golfer, suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2010.

Evans revealed last month that the couple were undergoing IVF in a bid to have a 'fourth ankle-biter', and received praise from listeners for his honesty about the issue.

On Monday, he casually dropped the news of the twins into an interview with a fertility expert.

He said: "Mrs Evans is...she is now, yeah. Twins. Double trouble. Twin turbo.

"When you begin to be involved in the world of twins, suddenly twins are everywhere - twins are not as rare as you think."
