FIREFIGHTERS had to free a mother and her nine-month old baby after they became trapped in a bedroom last night (Friday).
Emergency services were called to Bell Road in Winnersh following reports two people were stuck after a door handle had snapped off.
When they arrived at the scene, shortly after 8pm, they found a mother and her young baby locked in a bedroom.
Crew manager Chris Davidson, of Wokingham Road Fire Station, said: “We were called to a house in Bell Road in Winnersh.
“A door handle had broken and a mum and her nine-month-old son were stuck in the bedroom.
“They were both fine, the baby was being cared for. They weren’t in there for too long before we arrived.
“We got them both out.”
