A PROPOSAL to develop a group of houses in an empty field has been rejected by the council.
Ms Angela Knight & Alfred Homes Ltd had applied to Bracknell Forest Council for permission to build 15 homes in the land connecting B3034 Forest Road and Winkfield Row, Binfield.
The council rejected these proposals, however, citing the location as the main issue.
Max Baker, head of planning, wrote in his decision notice: "The proposed development would be poorly located with regard to services and facilities with inadequate accessibility to non-car borne modes of transport which would leave future residents with no real choice about how they can travel.
"The proposal would also have a harmful urbanising impact on the character and appearance of the site."
The applicant has the right to appeal the refusal.
