A COLLEGE in Bracknell continues to be deemed as ‘good’ by Ofsted.
Bracknell and Wokingham College, which is based in Church Road, was visited by inspectors between January 23 and 26 and they found the college to be performing well across the board.
The report of their findings, which was published on Monday (5), praised college leaders and managers for creating ‘a secure and welcoming learning environment in which students and apprentices feel safe and enjoy their learning’.
It also highlighted the ‘high standard’ of written and practical work, and praised students’ high standards of behaviour whilst in college, in the community and at work.
Inspectors did find areas which could be improved, such as ensuring teachers maintain high expectations of what students can achieve, improving students’ English skills, and challenging students to broaden their vocabulary, analytical and evaluation skills, especially in vocational lessons.
