A SHORTLIST of inspirational women have been named ahead of a regional awards ceremony.
Sue Ryder's 2018 Southern Women of Achievement Awards is inspired by the charity's own founder and celebrates role models from across Berkshire.
A glittering ceremony will be held at Reading Town Hall on February 16 to reveal the winners in a range of categories.
Margaret Thomas, community fundraiser at Nettlebed Hospice, said: “We would like to commend all the amazing women who have been nominated.
"There are some truly remarkable stories and brilliant achievements among them.
"Every single one of our nominees is most definitely deserving of recognition and the awards ceremony will be such an inspiring event.
“These awards raise vital funds for Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent and Nettlebed Hospices so please do support us by getting your tickets.”
