HUNDREDS gathered at memorials across the area to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Services were held on Saturday, Armistice Day, and Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, in Bracknell, Ascot and Wokingham.
Wreaths were laid and buglers played the Last Post as local dignitaries, MPs and most significantly, veterans, bowed their heads for a minute’s silence to remember those who lost their lives in the First and Second World wars, and more recent conflicts.
