SOUTH Berkshire men snapped their two-match MBBO Regional Two losing streak and climbed back up to third in the table by overcoming hosts Sonning 3-1, writes Richard Ashton.
Sam Fox-Harvey bagged a brace and Daniel Ray scored his sixth goal of the season for the visitors, with James Manser replying for Sonning.
South Berkshire do not have a game this weekend, returning to action at Marlow 2nds on Saturday, November 18.
In MBBO Division Two, South Berkshire 2nds were defeated 4-1 by table-toppers Maidenhead 2nds.
Jack Baveystock got the hosts’ goal, but a Marcus Folely double and further efforts from Josh Harris and Jake Maury gave Maids the points.
Third-bottom South Berkshire 3rds were crushed 4-0 at Wallingford 2nds in Division Four, Ben White completing a fine hat-trick and Rich Harding rounding off the rout.
Division Five basement boys South Berkshire 4ths were thumped 8-0 at home in their top-versus-bottom clash with Gerrards Cross.
Jamie Goodall scored four, Luke Robinson added two and the demolition was completed by Raj Tiwana and Jake Wilson.
South Berkshire 5ths enjoyed a superb 5-1 home victory against Maidenhead Monarchs in Division Eight East, while Division Eight West leaders South Berkshire Terriers cruised to a 3-0 success at Sonning 5ths.
The result leaves South Berks with a perfect six wins from their opening six games.
South Berkshire Ladies earned a valuable point from their Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division home game against second-placed Amersham & Chalfont.
Jess Reus was on target for the visitors, while South Berkshire – currently sitting fourth in the table – sit one place above their opponents of this coming Saturday, Marlow 2nds.
In Premier Two, South Berkshire 2nds were beaten 3-1 by second-placed Thame, but South Berkshire 3rds gained their first point of the Division Three season following a 2-2 draw at home to Maidenhead 4ths.
Division Five table-toppers South Berkshire 4ths made it five straight wins by downing Wycombe 4ths 4-0.
