HALF TERM is fast approaching, with parents stuck for ideas on what to do with their children during the short break from the regimented schedule of school.
One pet store is offering a workshop on caring for furry friends, and in particular, caring during the darker months when the weather gets cold.
The workshops at Pets At Home, Bracknell, from October 16-27, teach children techniques such as preparing small animals for hibernation, wearing reflective clothing and keeping outdoor pets well-cared for.
Louise Springer, store manager at Pets at Home Bracknell, said: “The My Pet Pals Autumn Activity Club is a great way for children to learn about the importance of responsible pet ownership, and how pet care can change throughout the autumn and winter seasons.
"Even if your child doesn’t have a pet, they can still learn and interact with pets for free.”
