A CAMPAIGN has begun to help a boy whose foot was severed from his leg in a horrific accident.

On Sunday, September 17, Scott Turner was climbing at his home in Wokingham when he slipped.

He fell 12ft and upon landing his foot was completely severed from his leg.  Emergency services rushed to the scene where they manually reattached the foot and held it in place with a splinth.

Now Nikki Webb, from Winnersh, has started a campaign to help Scott's family as he recovers after major surgery at John Radcliffe Hospital.  She said: "John Radcliffe have been amazing throughout.

"Scott and his amazing mum Vickie have a very long road to recovery and as their friends we wanted to do something to help them.

"Driving to and from the hospital and parking alone is going to be £30 to £40 a day, and this could be for weeks, months even.

"Then once Scott is home there will intensive daily physio needed so Vickie will still be unable to go back to work.

"Vickie is a single mum to four and she works tirelessly for charity so this our chance to give something back to her and show her just how much we all care about her and the kids."
