THE LEXICON isn't the only multi-million pound redevelopment to hit Bracknell this year.

Coral Reef, the popular indoor waterpark, will be reopening within the next few months after a redevelopment costing £13.3m and taking over a year.

The swimming complex is famous for the large pirate ship in the centre of the water, and has now been kitted out with everything from new rides, to a new cafe.

Now, with the opening fast approaching, the admission price list has been revealed.

The waterpark has increased the age of free admission from four to five, and have also slightly increased prices due to the high cost of the development.

For an adult to use the swimming pool during peak time, it'll cost £11.10, whereas during off-peak times, it's just £6.50.

For under-16 year-olds, the prices are £7.80 during peak times, and £4.50 during off-peak.

These prices show a slight increase from pre-closure prices, as before it would cost £8.35 during peak times for an adult, and £4.90 off peak.

These price increases are to be expected with the level of work that has gone into the pool, with five new waterslides, each interactive and containing individual characteristics.

The opening date for the pool is still to be confirmed, as the facility has to be restored to a working state before it can be opened again.

Vincent Paliczka, director for environment, culture and communities said: “We understand the news of a price increase at any popular facility is never welcomed.

"However, with the addition of the five new interactive state-of the-art waterslides, offering such varied experiences to match the best in the country, and the extensive refurbishment to the rest of the facility, we believe the prices still represent a good value-for-money day out.

“While most prices have increased, some of our off peak prices have been reduced and we have extended free entrance to now include the under fives.”
