THE FIRST 4DX film to be played at Bracknell's new cinema and the price of tickets has been revealed.

On September 15 Cineworld on Eagle Way will open to the public, following a soft launch on September 7, the day The Lexicon officially opens.

Almost every week a new blockbuster will be shown on the cinema's 4DX screen, in which seat motion, wind, rain, fog, lights and scents are used to enhance the viewing experience.

In the first week 'It', an adaptation of Stephen King's 1986 clown based thriller, will immerse viewers in a potentially terrifying assault on the senses, with spy drama 'Kingsmen: The Golden Circle' the week after.

Natalie King, Cineworld Bracknell general manager, said: "4DX is a fully immersive cinema experience and we have the first in the Thames Valley.

"It taps into all the senses from smell to strobe lighting. Cineworld in Bracknell will be one of the first 4DX screens to include snow in the country."

Regional manager Sam Prior added that on occasions two 4DX film would show in the same week.

"Not every single film gets the 4DX treatment, but the vast majority of blockbusters will," he said.

It has also been announced that tickets will cost £10.40 for an adult and £7.10 for a child, with 4DX showings £14.40 and £11.10 respectively.

Unlimited Cards, which give access to bottomless screenings on all 12 of Cineworld's screens, are available for £17.90 a month.

After the opening date some 50 employees will run the cinema.

"We have created about 50 jobs so far," continued Ms King.

"We think the experience starts with the people, which is why we have been paying close attention to who we have been hiring.

"All of them are from Bracknell."

More job opportunities at Cineworld Bracknell will be advertised around the time of its opening.
