ENVIRONMENTAL volunteers were hard at work this weekend as a clean up operation took place at Jennett’s Park.

On Friday, July 21, members of Bracknell Forest Council and Lloyd’s Register teamed up to carry out vital environmental conservation work.

The volunteers have been working together on a number of schemes over the last two years and this weekend saw them pick up litter and remove plastic tree guards to allow newly planted trees to expand.

They spent a day in the baking sun building a new wooden bridge within the site to improve access and constructed a stag beetle habitat to benefit the local wildlife.

Park ranger, Marie-Anne Phillips said: “Staff at Lloyds Register recently offered their practical support and time to undertake conservation tasks at Jennett's Hill and Park working alongside Bracknell Conservation Volunteers and staff of the Parks and Countryside Service within Bracknell Forest Council.
