AN ERRATICALLY driven Lexus almost struck a pedestrian after ploughing head-on into another car.
At around 3pm on Sunday, July 16, police received reports that a red Lexus was cutting across lanes at roundabouts in Bracknell.
When it got to London Road, the car came close to colliding with a white car, which had to quickly change lanes to avoid the out-of-control vehicle.
The Lexus was then seen travelling to the Running Horse roundabout before arriving in Lilly Hill Road, where the driver overtook parked cars and swerved into oncoming traffic.
At was at this point that it collided with another vehicle and nearly hit a walking woman as it mounted the kerb.
Investigating officer Police Constable Ross Kowald, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the red Lexus vehicle travelling prior to the collision.
“I would also like to trace the driver of the white vehicle as they may have important information which could help our investigation.”
A 42-year-old man from Warfield was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and was released under investigation.
