FIREFIGHTERS rescued a pigeon caught in a tree last night.
At around 8pm a crew from Bracknell Fire Station were called to Manston Drive by an officer of the The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
There they found a bird stuck in the branches by a length of fishing line.
Watch manager Steve Borham said: "We rescued a pigeon from a tree.
"We used a ladder, some harness and working at height equipment.
"We cut the branch down and it fell out of the tree. The bird was alive.
"It had a bit of a headache. It took us a while to stop laughing. I promise this happened."
The fire fighters were there for around 20 minutes in total.
The bird is believed to be in good health.
