DESPITE sweltering temperatures, Kate Middleton kept her cool in a beautiful hat for Day One of Royal Ascot.
The Queen, Prince Philip, the Dukce of Cambridge, Edward and Sophie Wessex were among the royalty to descend on the country's most famous race meet.
