AN ORGANISATION that provides help for people with Parkinson's Disease has raised much needed funds at a Bagshot event.

Nearly £900 was made for the Bracknell and District Parkinson's Branch at an awareness and fundraising day at Long Acres Farm.

That money will help the service provide hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropody and massage to people across the area.

Will Haque, secretary of the branch, said: "This was a great effort by all concerned and we would like to thank Long Acres Garden Centre for the use of their Centre and also their customers for donating so generously.

"We would also be pleased to welcome any new members to the branch in order that they can join in our various events and activities and enjoy the comradeship of fellow branch members."
