TWO men blagged their way into an elderly man's home before stealing £300 in cash from him.

Between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday, March 21 the pensioner allowed two men into his home in Hawker Court, High Street Langley - after they had claimed they were from the water board.  One of the men distracted the 83-year-old man in the kitchen whilst the other stole a fireproof safe box which contained £300.

Police said the first male was white, aged around 40. He was around 5’7 tall, of a stocky build and spoke with an English accent. He was clean shaved, had short greying hair and was wearing a grey cardigan.

The second male was described as white, around 6’0 tall, clean shaven and wearing a navy blue peaked baseball cap with no writing or emblems.

The safe box is all black with a key entry containing various paperwork inside addressed to the owner and cash in £20 note form.

Investigating officer DC Stuart Malham based at Maidenhead police station, said: “We are conducting a full investigation into this incident and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area at this time.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
