A BABY girl and a man were lucky to escape unharmed after a car collided with a tree last night.

At around 7.40pm a single vehicle in Nine Mile Ride, near Coral Reef, veered into a ditch causing the tree to fall down as a result.

The ambulance service rushed to the busy road and treated a man and toddler but following assessment they did not need to go to hospital.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said they were called at around 7.40pm.

He said: "We were called yesterday evening to reports of a single car accident in Nine Mile Ride where a car collided with a tree, with the tree coming down as a result.

"The occupants, an adult male and two-and-a-half-year-old girl were uninjured and were assessed by our staff before being discharged at the scene.

"We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene."

Thames Valley Police closed the road in both directions and directed traffic away while emergency responders treated the man and girl.

They reopened the road later in the evening.

"We were called at 7.49pm last night to reports of a collision on B3430, Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell," a force spokesman said.
