AN elderly woman was rushed to hospital this afternoon after hitting a telegraph pole in her car.
A crew from Wokingham fire station attended the scene in Nine Mile Ride between 2pm and 2.30pm this afternoon (Tuesday, November 8) following reports that a 69-year-old woman had crashed.
Watch manager Marcus Lewis said: "The lady's blue Vauxhall Corsa went across the road; we think she may have blacked out for a minute and went into the post.
"She was suffering from minor injuries and bruising but thankfully she was wearing her seat belt which kept her in the car.
"We had to competely remove the telephone pole from the ground and the police and ambulance attended the scene."
