A HOUSE in Wokingham will be in lockdown for the next three months after police received numerous reports of people dealing drugs and committing a host of offences at the address.

The owners of the property in Budges Road will be banned from entering the house for the next three months after police secured a closure order from Reading Magistrates Court yesterday (Sept 29).

The closure order, the result of a partnership local police team and Wokingham Borough Councils, comes after police received a host of complaints of drug use, drug dealing and other crimes related to the house and surrounding area.

Police hope the closure will offer neighbours some respite from the trouble.

Sgt Howard Rose, of the Early Intervention Policing Team, said: “This address was the subject of numerous complaints of alleged drug use and drug supply.

"This closure order will provide some well needed respite for residents and other members of the public in the immediate area.

"Thames Valley Police is committed to keeping our communities safe and tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour and drug use in Wokingham."

Residents with concerns about anti-social behaviour in their area should contact police via 101.
