A COUPLE were left so distraught after losing their beloved dog that they have postponed their wedding as the search continues.

Dana, a two-and-a-half-year-old Jack Russell and Whippet cross, has been missing from Langley since June and her owner Michele Rodriguez is continuing to search for her pooch.

Ms Rodriguez was left distraught after Dana escaped from her partner Paul McErlean's parents' house in Meadfield Road, Langley on June 18, and the search continues to try and find her.

Ms Rodriguez, who lives in Chalgrove in Oxfordshire, was visiting Langley with Paul "when Dana went missing has affected our lives."

She added: "We are thinking more and more now about the fact that Dana may have been taken in by someone, albeit in good faith, who may not use the internet so won't know about Dana being missing. Or it may be that she has wandered outside the area so people are not aware that she is missing.

"So we are asking people now if they have noticed a dog in the last 10 weeks in any of the places she has been spotted previously or surrounding areas, that is new to the area, resembling Dana, perhaps being walked by someone or living with someone."

Dana has been spotted in Langley near the canal, the Nisa shop on Willoughby Road, at the Chestnuts pub on St Mary’s Road and Langley Memorial Park.

In Iver, there have been a couple of sightings, one possibly in Love Lane and others on the High Street and Grange Way/Dutton Way, on the High Street near the shops in Eton Wick and then back near St Mary's Road, Langley heading towards Middle Green, on July 11.

The final spate of sightings were on July 20 in Langley Road, Langley, on July 21 behind Harrow Market in Langley and on July 22 on the canal between the Mansion Lane and Langley railway station bridges.

Ms Rodriguez adopted Dana in February this year from Serbia's Forgotten Paws.
