A SIX-year-old boy who cycled 100 miles along the south coast has raised more than £1,000 to help fund a new climbing frame at his school.

Jacob Bulloch tackled the gruelling challenge last week, cycling from Winchester to Eastbourne over the course of four days along with dad Hugh and big brother Finlay in order to raise vital funds for Birch Hill Primary School.

The trio finished the challenge on Sunday, August 14, having smashed through their original fundraising target and raising £1,105 overall.  Mum Nicola Bulloch said: "I would like to say a massive thank you to Fawns Playground Equipment for offering a discount on the overall price as their donation, and to my family and all my friends who have donated.

"Also to the parents and a couple of the teachers on the Birch hill School non-official Facebook page and People Help the People have been a great support. We have raised £1105.00!"

Nicola added: "Jacob has said he now wants to take on the North Downs."
