HALF of students sitting A Level exams at Sandhurst School achieved top A*-B grades in this year's results, with total passes up on last year.

Of the 98 students entered into exams, 99 per cent passed, with 84 per cent achieving grades A*-C in their subjects.

It marks an impressive increase on 2015's results were 96 per cent of students passed all exams.

Nicholas Marshall, post-16 learning manager said: "We are very pleased as a school to see the improvement in student results. The grades gained by the students are a testament to the hard work that they have undertaken with their teachers, and the support given to them by their parents/carers.

"We congratulate each and every one of them on their individual success, and hope very much that they will keep us updated as they move on to the next stage in their lives. The all ability ethos of Sandhurst School ensures high expectations of all of our students, whatever their starting point, and the positive learning environment helps them all to fulfil their potential."

Overall, a huge 80 per cent of students achieved the grades they needed to get into their chosen university.
