THIS is golf, but not as you've seen it before.

Ageless Golf visited Larkland House care home in Ascot to promote its version of the sport, which is designed with the older generation in mind.

Spearheaded by former professional golfer Nick Sharratt, the ethical business focuses on 'participation not observation', encouraging everyone to take part regardless of age or ability.

Participants can throw balls at the target from a seated position or use a plastic club to hit the ball through the target, much like the more traditional version of golf.

The visit coincided with the company's tenth birthday and Larkland House invited local Age Concern members to the care home to join in the celebrations with a BBQ and garden party, before taking part in the games.

Caroline Walker, care home manager at Larkland House, said: “We all had a really fun day and it was great to see everyone taking part in Ageless Golf – it certainly created a lot of excitement amongst the residents and Care UK team.

“Here at Larkland House, it is important to us that our residents are stimulated and are able to keep fit and active. You could see from the reactions on everyone’s faces how engaged they were in the activity and we are delighted we were able to help Ageless Golf celebrate its tenth birthday.”
