A TRIBUTE music festival will come to Dinton Pastures this weekend.

Thousands will descend on the country park for Marvellous Festival which will host a range of tribute artists playing music inspired by Ed Sheeran, T-Rex, Bruno Mars, AC/DC, Queen, Adele, Johnny Cash, Coldplay and Rod Stewart.

There will also be a special guest appearance of Ray Quinn as well as a fun fair, big kid’s village, food and drink stalls, a Napoleonic re-enactment and a Spitfire fly-past.

Cllr Parry Batth, deputy executive member for environment, said: "Following the Dinton Pastures consultation last year, residents told us they would like to see the country park used to host different types of events so that’s exactly what we’re trialling with the Marvellous Festival.

"I hope lots of Wokingham Borough residents thoroughly enjoy all the different music and events taking place at the family friendly Marvellous Festival and have lots of fun!"

Steve Stanton, Marvellous Festival director, said: "We can’t wait to bring the Marvellous Festival to Dinton Pastures next weekend and I hope everyone attending has a fantastic time. We’ve got lots of different types of music being performed on two stages as well as a big kid’s village so I’m sure there will be something for everyone."

Campers will arrive on Friday evening and are invited to a welcome party.

Most people will arrive on Saturday and Sunday with live performances scheduled to start at 1.30pm and finish at around 11pm on both days.

The car park will open at 10am.

Festival-goers are reminded the festival entrance for those using the car park is through Sandford Lane and should be accessed through Robinhood Lane in Winnersh or Hurst Road in Twyford.
