Some fear the FTSE 100's seven per cent drop is only the tip of the iceberg whilst others are confident the economy will bounce back.

Danni Austin was warning the pound had fallen to its lowest value since 1985.

Ashley Mcintosh predicted: "Sadly a dramatic drop in the pound, house prices and the FTSE which will take a very long time to recover from.

"Small businesses struggling and the cost of goods and services increasing. Very, very tough times!

"I wish I didn't believe this but I do and lots has already been proven."

Laura Claire said: "I'm actually horrified. We are already falling from grace.

"I cannot believe that people like Nigel Farage are people we decided as a country to stand behind. It's disgusting."

Concern over the NHS' future was another big issue.

"Really can't believe you all believe things will get better," wrote Peyalee Semple.

"We'll be lucky to have a NHS in a few years. Too many in the Conservative party want to do away with it."

Shawn Hearn said the dark times would pass and the country would head to long term prosperity.

Najlaa Matai wrote: "It looks so positive, the pound will pick up again soon.

"We will improve the NHS, with more funds for desperate patients, and of course more job availabilities.

"We can our borders from terrorist coming over from Europe. All Brits are hoping for a good future.

"We can't tell now what will happen but let's hope for better."

Others called for unity with Charlie Anderson writing: "There may be some tough times ahead but change is good.

"We must stand solid and move forward together, it was a majority decision."
