TRAINS are not running between Ascot and Reading after a tree fell on the line in Wokingham.

London-bound trains are up and running again after the incident earlier this morning but the line towards Reading remains blocked.

Some services have been delayed by upto 60 minutes.

London Waterloo to Reading services which depart at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour will terminate at Ascot.

South West Trains have apologised for the delays and are organised taxis for stranded passengers as they have not been able to source replacement buses.

Great Western Railway are accepting ticket holders between Reading and London Paddington and London Underground are accepting tickets on the Bakerloo line from Paddington to London Waterloo.

Additional trains are running between Wokingham and Reading in both directions.
