BRACKNELL will be a top property hotspot in 2016 specialists claim.

The £240m regeneration project, new housing developments and easy access to Reading and London are all attracting buyers to the town which is set to be one of the hottest spots to buy a home this year according to property specialist Leaders.

The average price for a semi-detached house in the area is currently around £342,000 while a flat would be more affordable at £187,000 - but prices look set to rise as demand sky-rockets.

Kevin Shaw, national sales director at property specialist Leaders, picked his top five 'hotspots' and put Bracknell at number one.

He's urging buyers to get ahead of the game by looking at homes in areas with a bright future.

Mr Shaw said: “It is impossible to predict the future, but by buying a property in a town with big plans for the future you could benefit from a home that is worth considerably more than you paid for it once important developments have been completed.

“House prices are going up across the UK and some areas may now be unaffordable to many, so getting value from the market and buying with one eye on the future is a must.”
