TORRENTIAL rain dampened spirits at the final celebration of Bracknell Forest Council's Summer of Fun.
Today's activities day for children at South Hill Park was due to run between 11am and 3pm come rain or shine.
But, just an hour after it began, the heavy downpour got the better of the 100 or so people who braved the awful weather.
The free event at South Hill Park should have capped off a month of entertainment for children during the summer holidays.
The council tweeted that the day had been rained off just after 12pm. They told people not to go to the event.
The Summer of Fun finale has finished early owing to the bad weather, apologies. Please do not attend this afternoon. pic.twitter.com/h6ERkrBtvb
