A 24-year-old woman escaped unharmed after being approached and assaulted by a stranger yesterday afternoon.

The victim was walking along Dukes Ride in Crowthorne at 1.40pm on Thursday, August 13.

An olive-skinned man approached her from behind and began talking to her. He kissed her hand, told her that he loved her and then seezed her shoulders and asked her to accompany him to another location.

The woman fled to a nearby shop and was unharmed. Police are hunting the man who perpetrated the assault without injury.

Investigating Officer, PC Steve Mitchell from the Crowthorne Neighbourhood policing team, said: “We believe this is an isolated incident however are appealing for information from anyone that may have been in the area at the time."

The offender is in his thirties, slim, with black short spiky hair and a stubbly beard. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and spoke with a foreign accent.
