The Oaks elected to bat but suffered an early setback when Jake Turner was bowled by Zimbabwean star Godwill Mamhiyo for a duck.

Eamonn Vines and Simon Myles (58) rebuilt the innings until the former was trapped lbw by the same bowler, but Jack Fisher (54) was also in fine form as Wokingham took control.

However, from a position of strength at 110-2, the visitors suffered a middle order collapse against the spin of youngsters Pat Castleden (4-56) and Sim Mangat (pictured left), and it was only some lusty striking from Matt Wicks which helped them reach 199 all out.

Cookham also struggled early on, with off spinner Paul Dewick and Wicks reducing them to 36-5 before Greg Davis and Kurran Mangat (43) steadied the ship.

Manish Chaudhary also counter-attacked effectively, but when he was cleaned up by Myles the score was 105-7 and the Dean were on the brink.

Sim Mangat (48) had other ideas, though, and together with brother Kurran, they put on an outstanding 82-run stand to put their side in control.

However, just as it appeared the former leaders would prevail, Wokingham hit back and Wicks (5-44) had Sim Mangat caught by Turner.

He then accounted for Wasim Ahmed first ball after the batsman was bowled offering no shot, and the ever-reliable Dewick (4-91) then trapped Sajid Mushtaq lbw to seal a stunning win for Wokingham.
