The event is set to a great day out for the whole family, with a mini football tournament, raffle, tombola, bouncy castle, velcro wall, quizzes, refreshments and various other stalls.

In aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, it will be held at the hockey club, Birch Hill Recreation Ground, Bracknell RG12 7AQ, from 11am-5pm.

Cystic fibrosis causes the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, to become clogged with thick, sticky mucus, resulting in chronic infections and inflammation of the lungs Jamie, a 20-year-old gym instructor from Bracknell, is constantly fighting chest infections and regularly has to take intravenous antibiotics for weeks on end. His lungs have collapsed twice in the last two years.

Jamie said: I'm more determined than ever not to let cystic fibrosis get the better of me, and it would be great if you could all come along and show your support. If you are free on the Sunday 24th August from 11am-5pm, come and join us at the Bracknell Hockey Club!

"It will be great fun and would mean the world for us if you could help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and help us raise valuable funds to find a cure for this horrible disease.” “If you're unable to join us on this day then please help raise awareness and increase the funds by donating to our just giving page at http://tinyurl.com/oh8bt2f and sharing our website over Facebook or any other social network site: http://www.cfcharityfete.co.uk/.

Money raised will enable the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to invest in cutting edge research to develop better treatments and eventually find a cure. It will also provide support to those with cystic fibrosis and their families and help the Trust to drive up standards in medical care.
