Yesterday afternoon a the burst flooded houses and caused road closures around the main Hanworth/Great Hollands roundabout.

Fire crews from Bracknell and Wokingham were called to the scene at about 3.30pm, and helped police close the roads off.

They helped pump water away from the surface and left after about an hour and 15 minutes.

It is the second time in three months that the same area has been flooded.

John and Dymphna Slade, both in their 70s, were only four weeks away from moving back into their home before the second round of floods struck.

Mr Slade said: "We are absolutely devastated, especially as it was so close to us moving back in again.

"Our lives have been turned upside down once more. It looks like the pipe burst in exactly the same place as last time."
