This means the News will be the first local paper published every week across the Bracknell, Wokingham and Ascot area, meaning you can read the latest news, your club’s match reports or see pictures from the weekend’s events a day earlier.

Simon Williams, editor of the News, said: “These are exciting changes that we believe will benefit our readers, who will continue to get our fantastic range of hard-hitting news, human interest stories, entertaining features and the biggest sports section in the area but a day earlier and still for just 70p each week.

“In conjuction with the latest breaking news and sport via our website, www.bracknellnews.co.uk and Twitter feed @bracknellnews, plus our thriving and interactive Facebook page, www.facebook.com/bracknellnews, the News has the local area covered – whether it is in print or online.” Coinciding with the move, the News’s sister title Bracknell & Wokingham Midweek – the only free weekly paper delivered to homes in the Bracknell area – will be renamed the Weekender and move publication day from Wednesday to Thursday.

The Weekender will focus much more on lifestyle features and include great new sections on homes and gardens, health, beauty and food, making it the perfect, informative start to the weekend for readers.
