There will be a Bug and Bear Storytime with crafts for families with children aged eight and under on Saturday, May 24 from 10.30am to 11.30am.

A Wildlife Adventures session takes place on Thursday, May 29 from 10.30am to 11.30am, and kids aged 10 and under can hear tales of bats, bugs, butterflies and barn owls and then make their own creature to take home.

Both events have a £1.50 charge.

The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust will give a talk on wildlife and conservation projects and what kids can do to help at home on Saturday, May 31 from 10.30am to 11.30am.

A free Flowers and Bugs Storytime for families with children under five takes place on Tuesday, June 3 between 2pm and 2.30pm, and the Origami Club for children aged seven and over will meet on Tuesday, June 10 from 4pm to 4.45pm.

They can create some origami flowers and bugs for a 50p charge.

There will also be lunar adventures for children at two other Wokingham Borough libraries during half-term.

Finchampstead Library, in Gorse Ride North, and Winnersh Library, in Robin Hood Lane, will have a rocket-themed trail for children to try, along with a selection of space themed activity sheets.

They will also have a range of different books fiction and non-fiction for children to borrow.

There will be a Lunar Adventure session for children aged three to eight years old.

Kids can hear about Bob the Man on the Moon’s adventure and decorate an astronaut mask, design a rocket and activity sheets.

There is a £1.50 charge but anyone can drop in.

The Finchampstead event takes place from 2pm to 3pm on Tuesday May 27, and the Winnersh one is at the same time the following day.
