The Bracknell Local Exchange Trading System, a group where residents exchange favours between each other, presented the abstract painting to Bracknell Shopmobility in the town centre last Wednesday in front of about 30 members.

It was created at its 20th anniversary celebrations at Jennett’s Park Community Centre in March, with more than 100 contributing to it.

Each member and visitor who attended the event each added a few strokes, with the completed piece showing several of Bracknell’s landmarks, including the former 3M building and others.

Clare Heffill, a member of the group, said: “It is quite an abstract picture so you have to look at it for quite some time but once you do you can see lots of the town’s landmarks. We wanted to put it somewhere in the town centre where people can go and have a look at it.” The group’s AGM will take place on Wednesday, May 7, at Newbold School hall in Binfield at 7pm.
