Individuals, groups and volunteers were all rewarded for their contribution to the town; be it services to their neighbours, caring for people in the community, artistic and cultural achievements or voluntary work.

Taking place at the Town Hall, Market Place, recipients received their engraved award from Town Mayor Cllr Martin Bishop.

They were judged by a panel including The High Steward of Wokingham; Lady Elizabeth Godsal MBE, Wokingham Town Council Civic Advisory Committee and others.

Winners: Andrew Clark - supervisor for maintenance of St. Paul’s Churchyard Brian Wooldridge - Co-ordinator for Wokingham Health Walks Candy Kirkland - for work with the Lions as member and former president Elizabeth Spooner - Co-ordinator for Brack & Wok Dist branch of Cats Protection Fiona Albinson - for work at St Nicholas Community Church & Emmbrook Village Hall Hazel Guile - for work as Planning Officer for Wok Society and Rose Street Society etc Jennifer Ellerbeck - support to St. Paul’s Church and it’s congregation Flt Lt Martin Lines - for work as Commanding Officer for 2499 squad Air Training Corps (RAF) Sue Farrington - work with Wokingham Health Walks - was a founder member Christine Holland - volunteer for CAB for 25 years David Lumsden - volunteer for Wok Job Support Centre for more than 14 years
