TWO women who had their heads shaved for charity have donated more than £1,300 to the East Berkshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group.
Karen Eaton and Roz Eaton, from Priestwood, handed over the money at The Royal Oak, in Bay Road, Bullbrook, on Sunday. The pair lost their locks just before Christmas and – with their hair now grown back – thanked the people who donated to their cause.
Karen said: “One of my friends used to work a lot with children with Down’s syndrome. This is a nice charity which helps families get away once a year but the parents have to pay and we wanted to help reduce that.”
