A BOY from Sandhurst School taken to hospital on Friday September 13 with possible spinal injuries has returned to school.

The 12-year-old, who attends Sandhurst School, Owlsmoor road, was rushed to Frimley Park Hospital with potential spinal injuries, but was discharged later that day. The student, who is in year eight, has been given the all clear and returned to school on Monday morning.

The incident occurred after it transpired that he was ‘mucking around’ with another student on the top deck of a double decker bus, when things got out of hand on Yorktown Road, Sandhurst. The school confirmed it has spoken to all students involved, and other people on the bus at the time of the incident.

A fire engine had attended the scene with an aerial lift platform to remove the boy from the bus via the back window, and Yorktown Road was closed for about an hour.
