THE MAN charged with murdering Krishnamaya Mabo has appeared in court today.
Glenn John Nelson, of Eversley Road, Arborfield, is accused of murdering the 39-year-old Nepalese woman, whose body was found near Robin Hood Copse at about 1pm on Monday. He has also been charged with attempted rape.
Nelson, 30, appeared before Reading magistrates unshaven and dressed in a navy blue sweater. He was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday.
A post mortem revealed Krishnamaya, who lived in Fleming Close, in Arborfield, and was married to a Ministry of Defence employee working at Arborfield Garrison, was asphyxiated.
