THE helicopter pilot killed in this morning's crash in London has been named as Pete Barnes, from the nearby village of Mortimer, Reading.
Capt Barnes worked for Helivision, a private charter service based at Wokefield Farm, which also undertook film work and aerial photography.
He was flying an Agusta 109 from Redhill, Surrey, to Elstree, in Hertfordshire, which is believed to have hit a crane on a tower block under construction in Vauxhall at 8am this morning, crashing to the ground and bursting into flames.
It is understood that no one else was on board.
