A NEW speakers' club aims to help increase people's confidence.
The initiative is being launched by Toastmasters International, which runs 13,500 speakers clubs world-wide, to help people get over any fears of public speaking.
The new club for Bracknell and Wokingham will aim to improve skills related to timekeeping, grammar and meeting management, alongside speaking and listening skills.
There are no instructors at the meetings. Participants evaluate each other's presentations, working from a manual.
The Bracknell and Wokingham club meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 7.30-9.30pm at the Rose Room, Wokingham Methodist Centre off Rose Street. For more, contact amanda.bouch@btinternet.com Information on Toastmasters International can be found at www.toastmasters.org
