Heavy overnight rain has caused road closures around Wokingham this morning (Friday November 23).

Emmbrook Road, in Wokingham, is closed both ways due to flooding and the Loddon Bridge park and ride is also shut.

Lands End Ford, in Hurst, is also closed because of raised river levels.

Waterloo Road in Wokingham was closed for just over an hour last night (Thursday) when a blocked drain caused flooding.

The road was filled with water which almost reached the front doors of some homes in the road and firefighters were called to the scene at about 11pm.

They began pumping water from the road before finding the blocked drain and clearing leaves from it.

They were there for an hour and the road was reopened just after midnight.

It has also been reported there was flooding in Hatchet Lane, Winkfield, this morning.
