AFTER a number of years of uncertainty, it has been decided The Emmbrook School in Wokingham should remain on its site in Emmbrook Road.

In 2005, Wokingham Borough Council consulted on proposals to move the school closer to one of its major catchment areas in the south of the borough, but this raised significant concerns for many local residents, stakeholders and ward councillors.

However, changes to government policy and legislation regarding the creation of new schools has allowed the council to revisit its strategy and it now expects the school to remain at its current location.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Are you a parent or student at the school? Is this good news?
