A FINANCIAL guru filmed scenes for his new prime-time TV show at Point Bingo, in Bracknell.

The Martin Lewis Money Show is set to air on ITV next month and the host spent 90 minutes chatting and advising people about their money.

The main focus of the episode was on premium bonds, and whether they offer good value.

Filming took place in the downstairs hall at the bingo club between 4pm and 5.30pm on Friday, October 12.

Saira Khan, a former contestant on Lord Sugar's BBC One show The Apprentice is his co-presenter.

Ricky Berry, team leader at Point Bingo, said: "He really knew his stuff. He didn't have any notes but you could tell he's really switched on.

"I didn't know anything about premium bonds but he was certainly able to explain it."

Mr Berry said due to a delay Mr Lewis was an hour late, which meant some people were unable to see him.

He said: "We had about 75 people here at 3pm but unfortunately a lot had to go before he got here.

"There were still about 25 people when they started filming though and it was certainly busier than the average Friday."

Mr Lewis sold his website www.moneysavingexpert.com to moneysupermarket.com earlier this year in a deal worth about 87m, though he carried on as editor-in-chief.

He has previously written a column for the now defunct News Of The World, and has also appeared on TV shows including Watchdog and Daybreak.
