A DRUMMER from the spectacular Olympic opening ceremony has described being part of 'the greatest show on earth' - and is now rehearsing for the closing festivities.

More than a billion people around the globe watched the performance, which featured volunteer drummers, including Graham Orriss, from Warfield, during a sequence depicting the Industrial Revolution.

Later in the show, the 67-year-old was also a marshal guiding the Team GB athletes as they entered the arena, and he started rehearsals yesterday (Wednesday) to marshal during the closing ceremony on August 12.

For an interview with Mr Orriss, see the Bracknell News out today (Thursday).
