A MAN in his 50s was rushed to hospital after he impaled his wrist on railings at Wokingham train station today (Saturday).
The man was stood on the railway side of the railings, which separate the platform and the car park, while firefighters from Bracknell and Wokingham stations cut him free at 1pm.
It is thought that he caught his arm after he jumped over the railings. An air ambulance attended, but the man was taken to Reading's Royal Berkshire Hospital by land ambulance.
Watch manager, Gary Nash, from Wokingham fire station, said: "We had to cut around the railings so he could be lifted off." The man was with two other men and firefighters spent 30 minutes cutting the railings.
