THE masters of music Mumford and Sons announced they will be touring the UK during their headline set at Reading Festival on Friday.
The award-winning band received loud cheers from the crowds at Reading on the first day of the festival when they said they would be touring on home soil in December.
This was in the middle of what was a masterclass in music as the band stormed through hit after hit splashed with some new tunes from their latest album.
Thousands flocked to the main arena having enjoyed a fun filled day of an eclectic mix of music and sounds.
Reading-based band The Amazons captured a gathering in the BBC Introducing stage.
And on the NME/BBC Radio 1 stage Don Broco had crowds buzzing and singing along.
Speaking after their set the boys spoke about their love for Reading and the festival having visited just after they passed their GCSE's for the first time returning year after year.
"We have been coming for all of those years then when we finished school we volunteered for Oxfam because we couldn't afford the tickets. We were clearing up one night on the main stage and we stopped and looked out and thought how amazing it would be and decided to go for it with the band," drummer Matt Donnelly said.
